At Dahlberg Portraits, everything we do is rooted in one simple belief, that every family deserves to exist in artwork.

Rather than spending our entire marketing budget on ads or social media campaigns, we’ve chosen to invest it where it matters most: directly into giving families the opportunity to experience what we create. Our gifted sessions are a way to introduce new families to our studio by inviting them into the experience with no obligation beyond the complimentary portrait we provide.

We do this for two reasons:

1. We believe family artwork belongs on your walls, not just in your phone.
In today’s world, it’s easy for memories to stay hidden away in digital folders. But there’s something deeply meaningful about walking into your home and seeing your loved ones displayed in timeless portraiture, something that reminds you of what matters most, day after day. Our mission is to help families preserve their story in a tangible way that can be passed down for generations. That’s why we offer gifted portraits: to help families begin building that legacy.

2. It’s a way for us to serve first.
We know that finding the right portrait studio is a personal decision, and we don’t take your trust lightly. By gifting a session and a fine art portrait, we hope you’ll have the chance to experience our work and our care for families. There is no obligation to purchase beyond what’s gifted, though many families do fall in love with their portraits and choose to invest in additional artwork. If you decide to add on to your gifted piece, our team is here to help guide you through thoughtful options.

We do ask for a fully refundable retainer to reserve your session, simply to hold your place on our calendar and ensure that time with our team is set aside just for you. That retainer is returned if you decide not to order beyond your gifted portrait.
